Thank you for becoming a Dairy Pro member
Whether you have joined as an individual or as part of a business, Dairy Pro will help you find events, courses, programmes and other activities to develop you and benefit the business you work for.
Dairy Pro is a great way to show your aptitude and build a good reputation for you and your business with customers, assurance schemes, banks, landlords or potential employers.
As a member, you can now add any activities you engage with to your training profile, be these events or courses you have attended, on-line modules, webinars and quizzes you have completed, or publications you subscribe to.
First things first
If you haven’t done so already, please login to your training profile using your surname the account number contained in your welcome email or letter, or on your membership card, and check that all of your personal and/or business information is correct.
Individual members can update their personal information at any point under the ‘Member Details’ tab within the Member area. If business details need to be updated please contact the Dairy Pro helpline on 01335 210853, or email us at dairypro@basis-reg.co.uk.
How does this all work?
Let’s look at what happens if you attend a workshop.
Whether you find the workshop through the Dairy Pro calendar or via another method, you will need to contact the workshop organiser directly to book your place.
If the workshop is listed on the Dairy Pro calendar, you will know the event has already been registered with Dairy Pro. However, you can attend events that aren’t listed and still add them to your profile – more details later*.
When you attend a Dairy Pro-registered workshop, you need to record your attendance so it can be added to your training profile.
You will need to sign in at the event on a form that states the event has been registered with Dairy Pro. This could either be on a dedicated Dairy Pro registration form which looks like this or the event organiser’s own sign-in form that has a Dairy Pro event reference number clearly shown on it.
Once you have registered at an event using a sign-in form, it is then the event organiser’s responsibility to communicate to the Dairy Pro team that you have attended their event. We require them to do this within 28 days of the event date. Once we have received this information, your training profile will be updated.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the events you attend are listed on your training profile. If you do not see it listed on your profile within one month, please contact the Dairy Pro helpline on 01335 210853, or email us at dairypro@basis-reg.co.uk.
Remember your training profile is for any personal development activity and does not have to be dairy or dairy-cow specific. For example, IT, accounting, management and leadership, legislation and health and safety all count as personal development and can be registered on your profile.
* If you attend an event that has not been registered with Dairy Pro then please complete the Event Submission form which can be found on your profile page. Once this has been received, the Dairy Pro team will contact both you and the event organiser before uploading the event to your profile page. Dairy Pro now has connections with over 170 event organiser and training providers UK-wide, which enables the team to complete your requests quickly and efficiently.
